More open without looking overdone, the shape gives the room a noticeably thoughtfully-scaled finish. The scale feels right for a console or nightstand and gives off a comfortable amount of light.

Better balanced and finely-detailed, the creamy stone tone changed the feel of the alcove more than I expected. The footprint fits easily on a side table, and the base-to-shade balance feels muted rather than top-heavy.
