Pleasing design balance is what caught my eye first, and it makes the foyer feel more styled. The backplate and shade proportions look airy together, especially in a narrower dining nook.

Pleasing light spread works nicely here because the scale stays uncluttered instead of overpowering the open area. The wall placement looks more interesting without taking up any surface space, which is exactly what I wanted here.
