Visually-light in daylight, the overall scale has a clean look that works well with the rest of the alcove. The base has a soft look up close, while the shade keeps the overall silhouette substantial.

Mellow from the side, the light quality keeps the whole design feeling clean and more deliberate. The footprint fits easily on a side table, and the base-to-shade balance feels timeless rather than top-heavy. With a lower-output bulb, the design balance gives off an even glow that works well in the open area.
