Understated mounting scale gives the piece a distinct character that is easy to work into the family room. The wall placement looks better proportioned without taking up any surface space, which is exactly what I wanted here. Around the scale, the smaller details feel solid and the finished setup looks more refined.

Cohesive under evening lighting, the surface finish gives the piece an inviting appearance. The backplate and shade proportions look visually-light together, especially in a narrower bedroom. The packaging kept the side profile in good shape, and everything arrived feeling well finished.

More interesting without looking overdone, the light spread gives the entry a noticeably quiet finish. The side profile stays well scaled, and the fixture sits close enough to the wall to feel tidy in the alcove. After a few days, the material contrast still feels nicely finished and easy to live with in the dining area.
