More complete without looking overdone, the visual weight gives the workspace a noticeably well-scaled finish. The backplate and shade proportions look deliberate together, especially in a narrower console area. The design balance was close to what I expected in size, but it has a bit more presence in the wall.

Deliberate visual weight keeps the design feeling less bare rather than overly decorative. The side profile stays balanced, and the fixture sits close enough to the wall to feel tidy in the stair landing.
