Subtle mounting scale feels well considered in person and gives the sitting area a more settled finish.

Sculptural compact projection looks especially good in normal room lighting, where the whole piece feels comfortable. The backplate and shade proportions look thoughtfully-scaled together, especially in a narrower alcove.

Understated backplate detail is what caught my eye first, and it makes the family room feel more styled. The side profile stays uncluttered, and the fixture sits close enough to the wall to feel tidy in the alcove. The shape is subtle enough for everyday use but still noticeable when you look more closely in mixed room light.
