Comfortable under a warm bulb, the light spread gives the piece a cohesive appearance. The backplate and shade proportions look pleasing together, especially in a narrower hallway.

Elegant scale works nicely here because the scale stays easy on the eye instead of overpowering the nightstand area. The backplate and shade proportions look soft together, especially in a narrower stair landing. The side profile is subtle enough for everyday use but still noticeable when you look more closely in soft evening light.
