About

Dimensions: 27” H x 14 ½” W x 14 ½” D

A French Empire-style 19th century gas lamp recently converted to electric, leaving the glorious period details intact to illuminate and inspire on a desk or side table. Below a sage-green tôle painted drum shade (diffusing the light from two medium-base bulbs) the lamp’s original fuel well of patinated brass rises on three slender brass legs with paw feet topped by the faces of a mythical animal with a lion face and eagle wings like a gryphon. The whole is supported on a three-pointed bronze plinth base in stacked formation that rises to an artichoke finial. Professionally wired for the US using UL certified parts, adding a braided cord with in-line switch. Please view the detailed images as they are an essential part of the description.

Base: 8” per side
